Looking for Turboed MKIII
So here is a quick version of the story. I have always loved these cars and looked at getting one for a couple years. I finally found one on this forum for sale, and I was also in luck because the guy was close to where I lived. I had a friend who was in bad need of a car, so I sold my perfectly good car to him for just enough money to buy this supra. We went to pick up the car, and the guy had forgot to mention many of the things that were wrong with it. It had no clear coat on it, the pain was horrible, there was no interior, the heat didn't work, the air didn't work, the radio was busted, but it ran "Good". I had already sold the car and had to have another one so I settled (screwed myself) and bought it(let him screw me) anyway. Well, on the way home, it overheated and popped the headgasket. I waited and pulled the head off only to find that one of the pistons had been almost completely burned up. So I decided to buy another engine, and I put it in. A month later it shot a rod through the block. Don't know what happened, it was just random. So it sat at my buddy's house for 6 months while I saved to buy another car. I got a different car and sold off my supra for practicly nothing, but swore I'd own another one when I was able to.
So I am looking for a MKIII Supra Turbo 5-speed. The paint doesn't have to be the best, but I'd like for the interior to atleast be decent. I might be ok with it having a few problems as long as their not huge. I might even be ok with one that has a blown head gasket, just depends on how it looks. I am looking to trade straight up or maybe throw in a little cash. What I have to trade is a 2001 Honda Shadow VLX600 Deluxe that has been mostly highway ridden, and has 30k on it. I just had a full tune up and replaced both tubes in the tires which are practically brand new Pirelli tires, that have only been on it for about a month. Also, it has a custom Cobra Drag exhaust that gives it a nice, but not too loud sound. This is a very sharp bike. The only flaw on it, is a small spot on the gas tank were the paint has bubbled slightly and a small scrap on the bottom pipe. It sounds nice, rides great, and gets 57 mpg. This is my baby, and I hate to see this thing go. I thought that maybe a 600cc would be too small for me, seeing as how I am 6'2" and around 200lbs, but this thing is the perfect size, and has enough power for me and my girlfriend to take long cruises through the mountains without any proplems. Thank you for looking!
