How hard would it be to put a car alarm and car starter on a 1987 turbo supra.. standard
i the think the car starter u have to jump two wires on the clutch peddle so u dont have to press the clutch just make sure u dont leave it in gear |

I bought one off ebay, it was around 120 bucks not the best but it would do. When i got it the hardest part was to find someone to install because of two reasons, 1 It was a manual 2 It wasn't a known brand like viper so no one wanted to touch it. When i did find someone we intalled it, we wired the remote start first, it worked fine, cranked right up everytime u puch the button, the next step was wiring the power door locks after we did that it became a mystery. For some reason the remote start stopped workin, till this day i haven't figured it out, the keyless entry works and the alarm but the remote start nuttin. I haven't been able to figure it out because i lost my license for six months so everything was put on hold, if anybody knows anything about these things lemme know i need help, i wanna get this stuff workin.

sounds like it's interfering with the factory anti-theft system.
This link has some info on the alarm system, and how to add to it: http://www.supras.com/06/techcenter/...3f54bb1e3d45df The electrical system of the MkIII is a bit of a pain, I still can't fix my headlights... I'm pretty good at electronics, but the computers and relays are a bit complicated in these cars... |

generaly Id suggest leaving it without the remote start since its a 5-speed and not an automatic. as for the stock anti theft system, get a shop manual and take your time reading up on it.
