Most of that I answered by editing my last post. 15 v at power to amp.
0 ohms at ground. and 14 v at remote wire...amp setup is good. and yes the default settings for the sub were setup...i checked.

Wait.... what? Are you saying the subs do work part of the time? If the remote/signal line is a gnd input try grounding it to the chassis and see if it functions continuously; And, if it's a positive signal then try connecting it to a full time positive signal.
Post the make and models of what you're running (dammit)... EDIT: Oh, and the speaker going in and out is more likely bad wiring. If you're using the stock wires for the regular speakers there may be a break in the section which crosses from door to chassis. You're not using any of the stock wiring for the amp and subs, are you?

None of the stock wiring touches the amp or sub wiring. The cd player had a harness kit put into it to plug up to stock harness (remote wire is ran into the kit between the cd player and stock harnesses)
And the sub doesn't hit at all, I have it set up to where it will only hit when the radio is turned on (when the antenna gets power, the antenna doesn't come up with the cd setting or any aux setting) (make and model in sig)

Hey, been busy and haven't been able to look up anything on those components yet. Had any luck? If you've got a small radio with RCA inputs I suppose you could try running the sub wires to that to see if it's getting a signal. Have you tried new cables? Have you checked the gain and crossover settings on the amp? Have you checked any fuses in the amp?

hey cre (two months later lol...)
so i hooked the remote wire up to the ground wire coming from the stock harness...and it worked. depending on what system you had in the car depended on whether you had a positive or neg remote wire.

Gee.... I thought I covered that... somewhere like post #12.... must have been imagining it.
Glad you got it figured out... 2 month long problems usually involve me pawning the problem off onto someone else while I just stand by and "supervise".
