I fit 5.25s in my doors, They arent easy to get in tho. They are too deep and hit the door. There not even screwed in right now...lol. They just flop around in there.

i have mtx 5x7 in my doors. all i had to do was cut the mounting brackets a little and they fit. they dont hit the glass or nothing
|
My rear speakers are 6x9s. They were put in by the last owner and the job was a little botched. The housings are not tight so the bass response is pretty bad. Someone stole my radio so I haven't heard them in about 3 months, though. I think the fronts are 4''. This is a mkii... if that makes any difference.

i looked everywhere i could think for a place to put speakers in the back and i cant find anywhere. i have an 87 supra. i know about the ones right behind the seats and the door speakers but i cant find a place to mount another set in the back? can anyone get specific about this location?

poo. my mom got me this Complete Car Stereo Package made by sony with Xplod speakers in it, theyre apparently way too big. two 6.5" speakers and two 6x9" speakers. and a cd\am\fm radio which im going to put in anyways...but i wanna fit those speakers in haha.

well, one speaker is replaced haha. got 4 4" for 30 bucks, yay for sales. unfortunately my dad kinda broke the power lock mechanism, the little box where the white stub on the back of the button now has 3 sides, and the two metal clips that hold the lock moulding into place have to be superglued on because the bent pieces at the end got snapped. other than that, it sounds nice :-D the other one is gonna be a piece of cake...then come the back ones.
where are the back ones anyways, and how do you get to them to replace them? |
