I'm in the process of replacing my speakers and the stock speakers i found in my 89 supra are 4 inch with tweeters in the doors, 3.5 inch in the back seat and 4.5 inch subwoofers in the boot.
The 3.5 inch aren't easy to come by but you can still find them. Those damn 4.5 subwoofers are a bit of a problem though. |

Not the best picture but you can see the stock 4.5 inch sub in the boot, the 3.5 inch speakers are at the top corners of the back seats right in front of these.
You'll need to remove the back seat in order to remove the side panels so you can get your hands on them. |

i finally replaced my factory radio to a mp3 capible cd player thank goodness.. but the crap thing is only two speakers appear to be working im excited to be getting new ones soon.. im getting 4" powerbass speakers with built in tweeters untill i get more money to get better ones and replace the tweeters i also was wondering how you would go about removing what ever part of the door panel to get to the front.. i looked in the haynes book but nothing.. as far as the back seat speakers im looking foward to that night mare

victory..
i have installed all of my speakers an amazing hour an a half to install all 6 not as hard as i thought.. quite simple honestly i also did some other little interior tinkering so she looks cleaner also had to replace a bunch of parts that broke due to age from my tune up she deserved [ i had oil in my spark plug bay]
basically i rebuilt the entire top in took about two weeks doing everything by myself.. it was well worth it because now i can say shes lightly modified 01010011 |

The hatch area speakers are 4.25", the backseat shoulder speakers are 3.5". Neither of these changed at any point in the MKIII production except that the pre89 MKIII's did not have the back seat shoulder speakers.
Door speakers are 4" for 86.5 through '90. '91, '92 and '93 are 6.5". |
ARe the back ones 5 1/4 to?
