Default Stereo Removal????

hi there,
it may be me being thick but how is it possible to remove the stock stereo out of a mk3?
any help will be appreciated

You need to remove the radio shroud(the big black plastic almost like rubber peice that holds the ash tray and the cig lighter) once you remove that it will be very easy to get to.

You need to remove the two screws and then once you remove them then you just carefuly pull it out. Try and get the bottom loose first then just try and pull it out. Hope this helps.

also... you SHOULD be able to pull it off without any prying. the two screws are down by the shifter. then once that is off, you undo 4 small bolts around the radio. its pretty self explanitory once you get that front piece off

when i took my radio out, i took out all the screws to that shroud that covers the shifter and runs up the dash, i think theres actually like 5+ screws, then just unbolt the radio and unplug.
