mm drifting with an auto tranny is pretty tough from my standpoint...because with an auto you dont really have control of the gears once you shift it into drive...though you can use the 1-2-3 gears on teh auto, which are the low gears below the drive option, ive been drifting with a manual for a while...never tried it with an auto but i know kids that just powerslide right through with auto 240's, the suspension setup and the techniques are basically the same as well as teh shift points since it is the same car, setup depends on how much oversteer you want and how much balance you want in teh car, but i think the only thing hindering you is the auto tranny...for me it seems as though u cant control teh gears and the shifting is pretty hard via goin from 4th to 2nd (example), you cant really use clutch kicks either which help get the rear of the car loose...ill have to see if anyone i know drifts without powersliding through corners, as for manual conversion dont go for it yet until i get more information on this

well i am thinking of putting a manual on mhy car and prolly making it into a turbo just cause n/a motors have higher compression. yeah i tried doing it last nite kinda tough to do, you have to gas it alot all u can basically do go straight at 1st and then pull e-brake and then gas it up after the turn u have to put it to higher gears. i think its really bad fro my tranny but so far the tranny is ok. lol.

well i not experience drift on the auto... but back in the day before my auto to manual conversion and also do the turbo conversion in my mk2 supra.... i kind of drift on the auto. n its not that hard to. usually you do need alot of the E-brake n alots of the gas n double gas... but i have a friend who drift his mk2 auto. he do the same as i did before my convrsion to. one thing on the mk2 supra when you drift. do not turn your over drive on when you go under 50mph..... if you do many time then you will f@ck up your tranny tho. so try not to use your overdrive..... correct me if i wrong people...

haha use manual...its recommended or something wehre u control teh gears like sport shift or tiptronic...for auto...i would assume that you would use the ebrake a lot since its a little harder to get the rear loose without the clutch kick, but mainly i use the ebrake to fine tune a drift....like make the car enter the corner at a steeper angle...

In my experience with drifting. And I am o drift king by any means, lol. But you really dont drift in an auto its more of a powerslide. So in order to drift you need a manual. Simple as that.
