wooahhhhh a supra is a very very hard car to drift it is too damm fat and heavy to do it properly.......you can powerslide though *winks* lol anyways keep it to straight line driving m8 you dont want to do anything stupid now

ozsupra 09-20-2004 10:49 AM

but with that said it is entirely possible to drift the supra

suprra_girl 09-22-2004 09:25 AM

just practice what the japanese drift teams do
handbrakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol
then floor it ;)

ozsupra 09-22-2004 10:02 AM

easier said than done........but of course for someone as highly skilled and talented as you im sure its easy

on the contrary, I believe that the supra will drift very well. Fit better suspension
(ie fit some type of coilover) boost the power a little bit and i think that you will find that it will drift very well. Long wheel base and a slightly heavier car will mean that it will be come predictable to drift. I have been drifting my sups for ages and have had no trouble getting it sideways. You just need to be hard on the car to get the best out of it. :D

ozsupra 09-23-2004 03:54 AM

we now have another member that is smarter than me lol ahh how interesting...........anyways still to drift a supra you need a pretty good driver (this does not include me) so not everyone has the same skill level as you lol

suprra_girl 09-23-2004 11:57 AM

i reckon you could be a terrible drifter tooooo
just make sure no fences or trees or poles are anywhere near lol

when i learn i'm gonna make sure none of thats around lol
i wanna do some track racing too ;)

ozsupra 09-23-2004 01:30 PM

lol @ fences and trees more importantly dont drift with other cars on the road lol........

i am at uni..its just a saying fool...like you say hand break...then gas..mmmm lots of gas!!!

punkrock101 11-19-2004 02:36 AM

I have only just got my supra and it is pretty standard. It goes sideways very easily though, as long as you stay in the top rev range youll pull round the corner with no troubles. You dont have to use the handbrake lol although ive only got 215x50 16" on it at the moment so not much grip lol It will be harder to go sideways with heaps more rubba :)

GOGS 12-07-2004 11:51 PM

hi
gave my 3.0t first spin running properly-
max throttle couldnt help but drift with an lsd.Scots roads are pretty poor just now so occasional sandiness does help.not a touch of my v8 rov yet though .It burned out 245s in 3-4k of fun  .Suspect supra may have much more potential once modded. B)

Sup everyone!

it nice to be here and reading every1 post.

to be honest thoughts about supra on drifting.

supras are very good in drifting, drags, and street racing.

as in drifting scene there mostly sil80s, but rx7 & supra are very good as well.

sil80 is very cheap and easy tunes.

rx7 (fc3s & fd3s) and supras (III & IV) are pricey but can win any events.

as you know Rys Millen and Samuel Hubelette were the drifters of silver supra in Drift Day, Formula D and D1 Grand Prix. WWW.D1GP.COM. now Rys is driving GTO, and Samual is driving Viper as in their next level of drifting. for now there is no supra on the scene. im driving RX7 fc3s project drift machine only not on the street. after winnning some events, the supra is my next project or Rys and Samuel will let me use their supra.

someone asking how to drift supra, weights and widness doesnt really matter.
inqury to drift: strut bars front and rear, roll cages, 350-400HP, at least two sets of tires and rims to waste, falken or toyo tires, 13-15" rims(deep dish style), GT spoiler, racing seat (H Point), and E-brakes adj.

level 1. driving around- (must be open tracks or parking lot where no cops see you doing)
to get use to it as low speed 34 mph then speed up carefully to 45, 55 mph.. step by step

level 2. find the spot where noone is around especilly cops, no upcoming cars, no platforms, no bars, make sure floor
is smooth, no hole, no damp ( otherwise axel breaks in and there is no control of it), extra tires and rims,
and nobody is watching but urself and ur friends..
----- drive at 30 mph on corner keep eyes one ur wheel and road. mostly gear 2 or 3rd. gas on flooriing.
stop at any cause

level 3. same street at other time. practice again until u feel sliding. safety first aware at any cause.

level 4. again same as 2 & 3, but this time practice on e-shift( e-brakes), this is little hard to do and timing must be
right on. e-shift is when after about to turn LT( left tiurn) or RT (right turn). this can be done as low speed
for perfect practices. for high speed is recommanded in tracks oe speedway.

level 5. controling - going for the right -- tap right then turn left and holding and control as u gas it, same thing as
going for the left... please look what u doing : like watching the road and other thing is coming in your way.
I recommanded in tracks for safety.

For best practice - i know it sound funny but it always works... try to go todo racing carts, even thought there no shift to gear of but at least u gets an idea how ur carts moves & turns as u gas the whole time and controlling as well.

I hope everyone takes their time practice dont over doing it. u will ended up paying alot of damages. make sure watch DRIFT BIBLE & INITIAL D JAPAN ANIMATIONS actually shows u as well. dvd is where its explains and showing u how to drift step by step on the video or dvd.

thanks supra fans and lover

now absolutely of course toyota-supra.info does not condone any illegal activity outside of permitted premises for these kinds of things.. ie. drag strip, race tracks
so remember ppl's when you're drifting, do it in the right place

;) ;)

thanks for that info drift stalkers... i'm sure alot of ppl appreciate it :D
do you have any vids of mk3's drifting on the site you posted?
i'm surfing it at the moment but in case i miss it hehe

THA JEDI - DRIFT STALKERS 12-17-2004 02:00 AM

Hey supra girl

most any car can be drifted that is rear wheel ofcorse. all depends on suspention set up and tuning!!!!!!!!.

supracw 01-20-2005 04:35 PM

and there is a few ways to loos some weight on these havy ass things. a site for good whight loss producs go to carbonfx.com

Iambongcam 01-24-2005 09:28 PM

Wassup everybody, Cam here saying supra is something that can take corners any day, my bro 240sx can't touch my 88 supra

hangsupra 01-28-2005 04:31 AM

well i got an mk2 mid 85 and 86 i have been drift for 2yr....i would said...supra is pretty good suspn. control... you dont have to have a lots of hp on the wheel... drifting is basic on your skill and how good you are.... you just need all the good suspn. on your car and also you need tr.sion. thats all.... first the easy for you to begin to drift is to do the 360 first... when you get better...than do the 180-190...when you get better on this 3 you were pretty much experience.... me i dont really use ebrake....i accelareted for speed than when it comes a curl or turn than i down shift...for a low gear...than it give me a smooth turn all the time...so i dont really use ebrake...ebrake is pretty hard if you dont know how to use it...so well..just try a few sharp turn and 360 before you do something else....

Graeme 02-07-2005 07:35 PM

it wouldnt make sence for a supra to not be able to drift, at the moment im a deliverie guy that drives a old busted volvo and i can drift in that thing around corners and turns quite easly just with less power then other cars that you guys would have.

300hpvision 02-12-2005 03:40 AM

WHO CALLED THE SUPRA FAT!!! the supra is a great car if you learn how to drift it. watch some of the hiryamazo car movies (its sorta like mischief invasion except its even more street type. you watch people run 4rm cops) they drift a lot in there.

ah ok yup now we ALL know what ya thinkin about. Lol dont feel bad i had that problem today too. LoL sound like someone need cold shower

I would think the supra would be easy to drift with i know its wider and alitter bigger but with it being rwd and the raw power i would think it wouldn't take much to wip your ass around. ya wip girl, i have a great mp3 you would all love of a supra smoking up a parking lot how do i post it i have 3 mov Let me know and i post them B)

drock 02-16-2005 06:03 PM

it is alot funner to drift when you have some one screming at you telling you to slow down and that when all this hell is over he is going to kick my ass
