The problem with just adding a turbo to a non-turbo engine is....you will like the added power, boost it more and more, race it too much, until the motor can't handle the extra stress. Then......boom !

I don't turbo mine for the reasons I mentioned earlier. The ONLY reason to turbo is to get more power.
When you get that, you will use it. Then, you will blow it up.

When you turboing a non turbo engine there are many things to look at. Basically you will want to rebuild it stronger. I'll let you read up on that because it is too long to explain and their are pleanty of good write ups on how to build an na to handle a turbo. |

And 95% of the people that have an N/A MKIII don't have lots of money to throw at it. Do you? And if so, let us know what your dyno results are after you've spent, say $8 k on that motor.

if you have the right setup. the car should be good as a daily driver. i had a mkll with 6m swap added boost. all i did was ad 3mm hks head gasket. and external fuelpump. at 15psi. an she ran like a dime. the only thing that went out was the main bearings. i was racing every weekin drove it to all the race tracks.. for 2 years. for my setup was around a grand with the motor... so just have the right setup an its on like donkey kong.....
