1983 supra engine question
 

hey, new to the forums, and supras in general...
I seen this 83 supra for sale for $500, the guy says the only thing wrong with it is the dual cam locking pin is missing? He said it would almost be necessary to take out the engine to replace it. I'm looking for some information before ripping apart someone else's project. Anyone have experience with this pin? or this area of the 5m-ge? thx.
