Are Parts & Engine for MKII rare?

I'm looking to buy a 1985 MKII; it's always been my love since high school years ago. I've seen most of these cars have high mileage so I'm thinking about dropping in lower mileage engine (I know it's rare), or rebuild it. However, I don't see a lot of parts for this car, either OEM, aftermarket, or hi-performance. Are those above rare or I haven't found the right places?

Is there any other Toyota cars that have this 85 MKII engines?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

First off, it'll help for you to know that the MKII Celica Supra used a 5MGE. I believe early model Toyota Cressidas also used this engine. Unless you're dead set on the 5M, I'd find a 7MGE or 7MGTE. More power potential, hell of alot easier to find aftermarket parts.

Look on celicasupra.com forum for mk2's. They have a lot more info for these supras. That is where I look for parts for my 85.
