The car starts ok but stalls as soon as gas pedal is applied. It started doing this suddnely, ran fine for years till then. Any ideas or similar experiences and fixes would be appreciated.

mine did that and it ended up being an air leak in the induction. you might look for a cracked or loose hose.

By the way do you know of anyone selling parts for the 85/86? I need a fuel pump bracket.
