7M GTE swap into A MKII...What Will I Need
 

i have a 85 MKII and the engine just froze i was thinking of droping the 7mgte into it what will i need to do all that other than the engine complete.

You will need a ecu probably, get a engine with a replaced and right torqued head gasket. Get a clutch kit and new seals for the engine and transmission. There might be more somebody else will probably add what I left off.

unless you have previous experience with doing an entire engine swaps like this(ie=ECU,custom harness,cooling,money,time,and tuning) i would just have the 5m rebuilt..You can always convert the 5m to a turbo later if you still want to go boosted.. It is easier to convert it than it is to swap a 7m in there..If you do go 7m good luck on the swap and ill answer any questions if i can..
