Supra idea, simple, cheap cold air intake
Hey,
Has anyone here tried this simple, cheap, cold air intake mod on a Mk2 (5mge)? I tried it today and it sure seems to work! Using the original stock air filter box (after removing the intake pecker off the fan shroud), open the hole on the sidewall (remove rubber gasket), turn air filter box 90 degrees to face the hole and voila...cold air! I find it better than installing a K&N filter alone and way cheaper than a custom cold air induction system - no cost, 1/2 hour, easy mod. Looks stock. Any possible/noticeable affect on the AFM/gas mileage? Comments/recommendations? Last edited by 82Supra; 09-25-2009 at 02:19 AM. |

Results of this simple mod...
After driving for a week I noticed:
Definitely added performance and lowered fuel consumption (especially highway), no affect on afm, great simple mod! Last edited by 82Supra; 09-05-2009 at 04:37 PM. Reason: added pic |
