over heating
after installation of new pace setter headers, and exhaust it says ive been over heating. i heat wrapped the headers, and intake and it still said i was over heating... i even checked spewed a bit bit of anti freeze,
ive checked and i have no error codes, and my oil and antifreeze levels were fine, oil pressure and engine preformance seems fine so i do not believe bhg... any ideas, my temp gauge sometimes tells me max temp... do i just need a better radiator?? oh and the faster i go the cooler it gets... |
That doesn't make much sense since you did wrap them. The pacesetter I just installed has no effect on temp even with the a/c on. All I could think is that it is something in your cooling system or something with the o2 sensor. Mine is currently running without the sensor hooked up.

thats what i think is happening, if you look on my profile pic album you can see the dumb o2 sensor position...
but ever since i did a slight rad flush, it hasnt happened. and yesterday, because i just insured my samurai for 3 months with a new hg, and carb. i juts didnt care so i took my supra, for a 1 hour drive to work. didnt even get close to half way temp... maby i had a bit of a block in the system... also i was about 2 liters low, possibly wasnt enough water... either way, a piece of the casting, just a thread for a bolt, broke right off my head.!!! so i probly have a few cracks in other places aswell, and ive been rebuilding another head i own. |
