my buddies ride, figured you guys would enjoy.
so, my buddy mike is a big supra guy. loves em, all kinds of them. currently hes got a few mkII's laying around, as well as several 7m's to throw into them.
heres his latest rendition. heres the details: 88 7mgte block, 9.1:1 compression, custom cp pistons, carillo rods, balanced rotating assembly, PnP head, OS valves, stock cams, custom cometic HG, custom FFIM, custom top mount SS tubular turbo manifold, hybrid hx35/hx40 turbo, 3" exhaust back, 4.5" intake, built a340e auto tranny, built 8 inch straight axle out back, all running off MS3 and megashift, tuned by the man himself, mike. if you check the dyno graph, youll see the power hes making with the minimal boost, theres alot more on tap. did i mention he also has a 250 shot of nos he hasnt done yet? enjoy

the only things i can say is, he loves the m series motors. plus, the availability of a JZ motor around here...well is few and far between.
i mean, anyone can go grab a 383 and make 500+ with a shot of nos or a turbo/super. he loves tuning and loves these motors, so he rocked it. and i think he did a damn good job. he also has a black n/a build that we were going to dyno, but didnt have time. in all technicality, he could have swapped in a duramax or powerstroke, make WAY more power, and gotten 10 times the fuel efficiency out of it. would he have been happy with it? absolutely not. anyway, its pretty sexy, and i think hes makin some damn good power, and theres alot more left on tap. who can say they are tappin 450 plus on only 14 lbs of boost out of one of these motors? not many, in fact, not many motors period can accomplish that. i dont have the dyno sheet for it, but he was messing with the EBC on MSIII on day, and accidentally spiked to 28 psi. the reward, was staggering, he hit over 575 hp and 560 tq, at the wheels, in 92 degree heat. after WCF, he was over 600 by a long shot on both factors. all that through an auto tranny and a straight axle.

I guess ill make this my introduction.
To answer the JZ or small block question... The car started out 8 years ago as a small project to only have a 250-300hp daily driver. Things changed. I like the 7m due to not many people build them. I like being different. So a few corrections that need to be made to the first post- 90 GTE block, 90 crank slightly knife edged, Wiseco pistons, BC Rods, balanced to within .1 grams (cause im ocd), 3.5" exhaust, I think the intake is 4". The rest is correct. Car puts down around 365hp on 10psi and that's what I run on the street... usually. The only thing holding me back from 700+ HP is I'm maxing out the 720 injectors. Going to ID1000's very soon. There's a lot more to the car than you can see in pics. I do drive it around almost daily in the summer. Its still 100% street legal too. Some pics a friend of mine took. Enjoy. |

Thanks for sharing your ride! I really dig your rear cage/support. That and the seats and proper belts makes one badass setup.love the m series but were slowly losing support. Wish I had money to rebuild my 7m. Welcome to the forums. Good luck with your mk2. Hope to share more of mine soon
