Default cock-eyed motor mounting

Greetings to all, I'm hoping you folks might shed some light on a problem I've got... I'm helping a friend reinstall the stock motor into his 85 Supra. He's had it apart for years and now he's tapped me to help him put it back in. The problem I've run into is that the motor, bolted up to the mounts, leans to the passenger side, so bad that the damper is resting on the sway-bar.
I've verified that both motor mounts are ok and are the same part for each side. The mount brackets on each side of the motor are original and were never removed, and the chassis/k-member mounts are stock as well.
I figure there must be some sort of spacer missing for the pass. side mount. My friend remembers nothing, but he has lost and misplaced plenty of the cars hardware during it's years of downtime. I've searched all over for a solution with no luck.
So here I am, at the best source of info possible, hoping to solve this.
I'll really appreciate any and all help! ...thanks.
