I am kind of new at asking question on forms so please bare with me.but I have an 83 supra and I can't get the back part of the oil pan to drop? I have read some forms stating the motor have to be jacked up in order to get the pan off? Is this true? I dont understand why this has to be done? Yes I do have a cross member but I can get passed that without having to take my whole supention apart ,but it looks like the back of the pan is hung up on the back aluminum plate that is up against the tranny?? Can someone help that has done an oil pan gasket change before on a mkll ..thank you!
