No mods..It is a direct swap over..The only diference in the 5 and 6MGE's is the crank..The 5MGE is only 2.8litre and the 6MGE uses a longer stroke crank from the 7MGE which turns it into a 3.0litre and rates it at 190hp instead of 170..To do this it has its own seperate crank timing gear to make up for the stroke diference so the timing will be right on..You may have to mod the MAF though if the CE light comes on..It might read a lean mixture and a small 5 min mod and youll be right on the road agian and no more lean code..
