What does this switch do?
 

i have an 83 supra and parallel to the handbrake is 2 switches, one of which, closer towards the back, controls the automatic locks, the other switch closer towards the gearshift... well, i flip it and i dont know what it does, and it's been bothering to know what its for.

Well, how about I move this thread to the MKII section since this Q is specific to that year, and maybe you can provide a picture of this switch.
I am sure you would get an answer that way...

It is the switch for the factory fog lights..

thanks, i'd check it out right now, except... its in a garage at a different place at the moment

Keep in mind that they will only come on if the headlights are on..If you would rather drive with just them then rewire them into the parking lights in the housing that way they come on just before your headlights do..I have removed the reflector and the lenses with clear ones ,and also stepped up to a 100watt halogen bulbs..I Then bypassed and removed my headlights alltogether and ran my fogs off my headlight harness..If not you will fry the harness with such large bulbs..Check me out at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/858848
