ok i need help real bad............... i am trying to figure out the timing to my supra. i have the 84 with the stock 5m motor...
my question is with the pistion at TDC and the distributer set at 1
where Do i position the intake and exaust camshafts?

where do i want the #1 intake and exaust camshaft lobes to be positioned

please help me out.........

the cams should be aligned with the marks on the backing plate behind the cam pulleys... you should see two lines and a dot on the cam pulley... align the dot with the small line

i would suggest getting someone to do your belt for you that has experience... if you get the belt out too far you can hit valves

i'm not sure if 5m's have diagnostics ports

Good luck with it :)
