jdm or usdm

Is it harder to swap the jdm engine than the usdm engine or are they about the same in dificulty. Does either engine make more power or is there any differneces between the two. If i got a jdm engine would i need a jdm ecu.

They are the exact same just slight diferences in power..The US spec 5MGE is 145hp and the JDM is 170hp..Mostly because of the lower emissions over seas..After you put on your EGR and other emissions stuff it will equal out..The ECU's are the same also..
