Body kit
ive found a really cool body kit for a 92 supra that i think looks really cool. i have a 86 and i was wondering if that kit would fit on it. since the 92 is still second gen. supra, would it fit at all for my car? and how much modifying would it be in order to get it to fit?

Wrong a 92 is a MKIII!! Not a MKII!!This is a MKII!!

ok......
well. when i searched my car on a web site, dealing with performance everything, that popped up. i thought the second generation stopped at 91 but i wasnt sure. the car that has the body kit on it looks second gen. but i didnt know. on that note, would a 87 or 88 body kit fit on an 86?

class lesson.... mk1 = 79-81? mk2 = 81-86.5 mk3 = 86.5-92 mk4 = 93-98 you can make the 92 stuff fit previous years i.e 86 i think the only thing is the center nose piece normally has a bolt either side which your mk3 won't... so you'll have to play McGyver there :) |
Yes very!! I mean i would like the MKIII alot more if they wasnt so fat(here piggy piggy)...I mean i understand he thinks his is a MKII because it was made in 86 but it would actually be an 86.5,hence makes it a MKIII..Ohwell though i guess i should just chill and say welcome and yes lets see some pics of your ride...

its weird
ok so i have a 5mge engine, which i just added open air intake to and flow masters on friday, and all of the websites i go to have 86 supras with the 7mge engine in it. Or rather, when i go to buy a part, it will say "will fit 86-92 7mge engine". So i have to order 85 parts for it. i figure its just an 86 and not a 86.5 o well. do any of you guys know where to get a new or almost like new hatch? the only rust on my car is on the hatch and im not too fond of the built-in spoiler onit. i would love to get a low profile one but i just need the new hatch....

Get one from a celica...They are a direct swap over...The spoiler is only held on by like 8 screws..Take it off and weld the holes up..I can get one up here but i dont know of any in your area off hand...If you are still looking for a body kit go to www.erebunicorp.com and look under the 82-86 supra..
