Hi, i have a 1986 Mark II Supra that i am looking to begin working on both with restoring and giving it some extra power. I would really like to drop a Mark IV naturally asperated inline 6 into it for a nice power baseline to work up from. I was wondering a few things.
1) Does the Mark IV engine mount up with the existing Mark II engine mounting brackets? if not, how much modification is needed 2) Also, if i want to replace the transmission as well with a Mark IV 6 speed manual. Will that match up with the existing driveshaft? or will i need to have one custom made / use one off of a Mark IV. 3) Finally, can a stock differential (in pretty good condition still) handle the 230 hp from the Mark IV engine? and if not does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement Thanks a lot, Brandon PS Forgot to ask what the numerical designation is for the Mark IV NA Engine, thanks.
