Ok guys here we go.. I popped the 5m agian and im done with it.. I am currently working on this mod myself now.. I did alot of researching and measureing and i think ive got her figured out.. I am going to be going with the T5 from a camaro and a mildly built 350.. I have taken the problem of the oilpan into account and found that the 62-67 chevy nova has a front sump oilpan like the 5m.. well with that i can now move the motor forward more for clearance around the dizzy and making the shifter line up almost perfectly.. I am also using a chevy truck shorties and Y-pipe to be able to connect it to my custom 3" exhaust..The radiator is prolly going to be custom unless i can find one that will fit and some electric fans.. Only thing left will be to take out the driveshaft and have a chevy yoke attached to it and then it should be showtime.. This is going to be a very very fun summer!

if and when my 7mge ever goes, im doing the same thing... i refuse to run a turbo, and would never ever again own a turbo'd car, so the best way for me to gain power is v8 power. I have a parts car/shell to try everything out on. my major concerns is how to get the gauges to function correctly with gm parts. i know it can be done, ive seen v8 swaps on ebay that they worked correctly on.

just to clarify, no such thing as a 92 iroc, they stopped in 89 when the iroc series switched to dodges, i remember watching it on tv lol and i think that putting a small block in what is a nice sportscar to begin with is kinda of ruiner for it from the date on these posts noone but the afformentioned corvette engine supra and it looks to have been done very cleanly although i can find no other info on it, and i hope this is true, both these cars and nice thirdgen (82-92) camaros are getting RARE i have one of the only one of both in my tri state are and i dont plan on crossing the two lol just my 2 cents, new member here been on forums since 99 been a gearhead my whole life
