to swap or not to swap
so i'm in a dilemna guys
either beef up my 5m-ge with goodies and slap on a turbo or do a 7m-gte (stock) swap suggestions? comments? concerns? need lots of input please

ive turboed the 5m then the 7mgte swap now ive gone 1jzgte ,bang for buck the 1jz makes wild hp.if your a rooky at swaps do the 7mgte. it bolts in just like the 5m.hell if you want insane its ok do the 2jzgte.dont fear the hard stuff you will be proud of the accomplishment!

transmission
for the 7m-gte transmission would i go with the R154 (or whichever 7m-gte tranny) OR am i able to stick with the W58 tranny from my 5m?

you can use the the w58 up till about 300-350hp but if you go r-154 its 1000+ hp

hows the bell housing for the R154? is it the same as the w58?

2k sounds cheep. i have 3k in and im not done with my 7m swap yet. if you get a good motor and trans from the start then maybe. o yeah if you go with the R154 it fits in the tunnel with a little massaging (AKA hammer) and you need the mk2 auto crossmember to bolt to it. also a custom driveshaft.
