Default Headlights wont rise

Hi all.
I just bought an 84 Supra, the only problem with the car is that the headlights wont pop up. I can move them up and down manually by twisting the knobs on the motors but they wont come up automatically. The lights turn on fine but they stay down. I just replaced the light retractor relay but that wasnt it. I was told it might be a "blue box" called a "headlight retractor control", but I cant find it. I could really use some help.
Thanks

The "Headlight Retractor Control Relay" is located under the dash panel, above the steering column. Hope this helps.

if you need to drive at night and your lights dont work you can put them up manually. pop the hood and right next to the headlights there is a twist knob that you can turn

if both of you accually read, you see that he said he changed the motor relay AND he knows how to put the lights up manually. Check the motors and check all wire connections. pop up lights are very tempermental and need to be messed with.

If you would have paid attention in grade school, you would realize the correct spelling is actually and not accually, I guess that is backwood PA's way of spelling words (lol).

I know there are two relays associated with the headlights in 84 supras. One is the headlight relay and the other is the retract control relay (which is found under the dash, near the steering column).

I suspect if he replaced the retract control relay where I told him he could find it, his response back would have been, "I changed that relay out" instead of him saying to me, "Thanks alot man! I'll check that today".

See if your stare and wiggle test work for the headlights.

--What your mr. comedian now? good one. now lets here the one that hasn't been used four million and fourty three times. (By the way, the best thing about the backwoods, is no one complains about anything. i want to see you work on your car at 2a.m. with no one complaining)

Default 91 Supra headlights

Could you be more specific about the ground wire? Are you saying the ground wire under the coil effects the headlight motors?

I have replaced the relay under the hood,no effect. Really sucks having to leave the headlamps in the up position.

I need some help figuring this out, they just stopped working.
