I wouldn't worry to much about anything on your car, if it runs strong just keep it that way. The 82 5m might have less power then the others but you will have the same amount of fun. As you find yourself having to replace parts think about what you want the car to be when its finish, Then replace with the apropriate parts for your goal. That way you won't have to buy the same parts twice. I have an 82 and it rocks!! With a little time and work you will love your Supra so much more then you do now.

LOL, I'm older then my car by 10mon's, Well, since your aware that the car is old then you know that how you treat it will affect the reliability of an older car. Now the good news is that parts are affordable and it's a Toyota, Old or New it will run for you. Nothing you can do to prevent things from breaking but put some money on the side in case something happens. I wish you the best with your car and you can P.M. me if you need help in the future.
