Default nITROUS FAKE? I DONT THINK SO ! LOL

cOME ON GUYS ! LOL Nitrous is the ultimate to top off your ride when youve maxed out all the power you gona get out of it !

Like mine for example . Its f...en fast and when im about to win or someone thinks they are going to blow right by me,,,, i think not ! You hit that NOS and its bye bye Baby ! What a rush ! Power when you need it !

Otherwise, a few bolt on inexpensive way to build some power,

Port Polish the head, do a 3 angle valve job, get an exhaust manifold or header with a cat back exhaust and some cam gears, maybe upgrade the fuel pump to walbro255 lph a fuel pressure regulator, lightwheight flywheel, light rims. Upgrade the fuel rail and injectors... I think this would be a great start !

Good luck and hang in there. these Supras are fun !

I've never heard it pinging, no matter what fuel I use.

In the summer it gets over 100* here most days. My a/c is on, day and nite, so I run 89 octane to keep the pinging away, and my timing advanced, thus keeping my HPs up.

I can tell the power difference between 87 and 89. Can't tell any between 89 and 91, so I must not be getting any timing retard with the 89.

BTW...I run my timing at 15*.
what about from 87 to 94 octane, would u notice a difference? Here it doesnt cost much more, and at some stations 90 octane is considered regular :S

not sure but unless the engin has a different compression than the JDM one it should be better to run higher octane. they are marked as premium only and premium in japan is about 97 octane at most gas stations.

brad88supra-

First, congrats on your first post. Just a friendly reminder here to remember to post questions that don't have something to do with the current thread in their own post instead of "thread-jacking" another thread.

Second, that light is the low coolant level light. There is a sensor in the bottom of the overflow bottle (which is in front of the radiator) that measures the coolant level. If the reservoir does not have coolant (or enough) in it, that light on your dash will turn on.

Red face Nothing crazy

Hi all,

I have an '87 NA MKIII which is currently all-stock, has about 90,000 miles on it. Previous owner didn't drive it much.

Anyway, I use it as a commuter car (albeit a fun one), not looking to race or anything like that. I notice that it takes about 8+ seconds to go from 0-60, which seems kinda slow (I know, it's an NA, but still).

If all I want to do is basically get its performance back up to par as when it was new (a 200bhp inline 6 shouldn't be too shabby, right?), what parts should I be looking to replace / refurbish / improve?

Money's tight so I'm preferably looking at some kind of multi-month plan of purchases and installs, and would therefore also appreciate some kind of idea as to what order these improvements should be made.

Appreciate the tips in advance!
