I checked the tire size calculator and the diference at 60 mph made it 62.5 mph. I was just wondering if it was fixable or not, thanks for the help.

1) The stock speedometers on any car are not totally accurate so a few mph difference is not a big deal. 2) I don't know how to change or adjust a speedometer but I can tell you from experience changing the speedometer or the cable to the dash is a huge pain in the butt. 3) Drive 50, 60, 70... mph next to a few friends on your cell phones and compare speedometer readings. 4) Make a mental note of the results and use that information accordingly. And remember...if you have NO FEAR...you're not driving fast enough. |

I have stock rims with Goodyear Eagles that were on the car when I got it. I want to replace them with Falkens or Toyos. And maybe get some 16 or 17 inch rims.

I just got a set of used MKIV. 16 x 8 in the front and 16 x 9 in the rear. The fronts came with 225/50 which needs to be replaced. I think I'll stick with 225/50 just need to decide on the tire. The rears came with 245/45 and are still o.k. They're on Yokohama es100 I believe. In the future I want to go with 255/50s in the rear.

Black Racing Pro N1
17x8 all round 235/40r17 front Falken Azenis ST-115(discontinued) 225/45r17 rear Falken Azenis RT-615 (popular) drifts real nice. gonna go with 225's all round soon but not Azenis. they're too expensive for what i do to them. and they're too grippy lol Last edited by MA70 Ed; 05-06-2009 at 08:23 PM. |
