I'm running 94 Supra wheels (16x8) with 225/50 Cooper up front, and 94 TT wheels (17x9.5) with 265/40 Falkens in the rear, good traction.

i think cooper cobra is a good tire for supra. i were using (2) 215 60r14 front (2) 235 60r14 rear on my mk2... so its good launch for me... and beside that its wide too....
|
Cooper tires seem perform well. I also have them the rear of my BMW M3, good traction and fairly quiet, good price too.

yeah i know n thats why i were using them... hehe.... getting all 4 brand new tire for under $400..... hehe....

Here are my rims. The white ones on the car are Advan AVS Model 5, the new ones are WedsSport SA-70 (they are actually for the EVO).

lexus 17's off a GS, wrapped in BFG Traction T/A's 235/45/17...great traction, good price

Question about rears...
Is 265/35/18 too big of a tire for an 18x9 rim? Will that stick out alot on the back wheels? I'm planning those with 25 or 35/35/18 for my front 18x8's. So basically, is 265 too wide for rears? |
265 in the rear - no problems
I got 265/40 17 on the back of my 90 Turbo on '94 TT wheels. No problems since they're correct offset. I've seen people with 275/40 in the back also.

I have stock size yokohama tires, came with the car (215/60/16) and the car still handles great, better than my aunts 98 trans am....I cant wait to try it when i get new wheels, 17x8 front and 17x9 rear and 235/275 dunlop sp tires. Does anyone have fitment issues with wheels this big and stock or lowered ride height? they look like theyll fit, But just want to be sure. Theres a lot of extra room under there
