Quote:
what kind of tires wheels is everybody have stock, aftermarket, etc.... goodyear, michellin, etc.... size, width etc... Just wondering i looked up discount tires selection and ehh, oh and if i go stock tire size its says on one brand "The Michelin® Destiny™ is designed to help meet the needs of the most demanding drivers of minivans  and sedans" my car is not minivan like |
ok but dont laugh at me...im on cheap aftermarket stock size wheels with toyo tires.
this is washington and they are great in the rain.. wheels came w/ the car ok for now..lol |
Don't worry I have "Mastercraft"?? tires, (came with the car) never heard of them, but they suck. no telling how old the tires are on this car! at least yours are good in the rain.

I've had my car 3.2 years. It came with stock wheels and some Falkens that had about 60% tread left. 225's F&R. The receipt was in the glove box. They lasted 35k miles. They were very good handling tires (I do tend to push it hard in the mtns).
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...ce&rd=16&ar=50 I looked for a month at wheels. I did not want to spend alot, because wheels for daily drivers get beat up. I ordered these. I've never seen them on any car but mine. http://www.americastire.com/product/...wrib.hs.xl.jpg I went to Kumho next. 245's on rear, 225's front. They hang on to the curves real good. The rears seem to only last 1/2 as long (10k) as the fronts (22k). OK, OK, maybe I push it a little hard. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...ce&rd=16&ar=50 I just put Yokohama on. 225's F&R. They have a much higher tread wear rating. They seem to handle very good. I'll let you know after I take a run in the mtns. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=6 |
I run Goodyear Eagle F1's 245/50-16's front and rear on my 89 N/A. I have them on stock sawblades painted with Rustoleum Hammered Black. I think these tires would be used by more people if they could afford them. They are kinda expensive but worth it to me. I shop for tires at tirerack.com I read all the reviews from the owners of different types of cars using them then I go to Discount Tires and use the tirerack price as a bargaining chip to get them to match the onlione price as close as possible. I have also bought directly from TireRack a great company especially for info if your looking for a tire and what people are saying about them.
