I'm really trying to keep the costs down since and already I'm at double what I thought I was gonna spend. I definitely would like more performance (and probably will kick myself later for not changing out parts while I'm in there) but I just want it to run as of now.
I think I paid close to $700.00 for the set. I'll let them go for $500.00. I am not at home and don't even remember make and specs but I researched and they were the best. I understand our stock fuel pump will handle 550cc...at least according to the research I did. I did put a Lexus AFM on because that seemed to make sense but I never got around to the injectors. I suppose if you need to buy new injectors anyway you will probably spend close to $500.00 anyway. You may as well put some 550cc's on now if your top end is apart and spare the hastel later. Then when you get time and money add the Lexus AFM and I suggest a good AEM EMS so you can get a proper dyno tune. They have really come down in price since I spent $2,500.00 on one a few years ago. http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...nt_Stand_Alone

Thanks?

If you need new stock injectors, how much do they cost?

Ok so something not so sweet happened. The machine shop said the head is warped too much to flatten, and now I have to find a new one. There's one I'm looking at that's rebuilt for $400.

My question, will a head from a 7MGE fit my 7MGTE?

Someone told me they won't, because of some different coolant/oil lines and the intake/exhaust manifolds won't fit.

Well, I've finally done it!
Replaced head gasket, a lot of new parts replaced too. We fired it up and it runs kinda rough and is leaking antifreeze on the intake side between the upper and lower manifolds, and I have no idea where it's coming from
Any ideas?

What head did you end up using? You stated earlier "My question, will a head from a 7MGE fit my 7MGTE?

What kind of head bolts and torque values?

Did you machine the top of the block?

What kind of head gasket did you use?

I found another 7MGTE head, had some valves reaseated and the head machined flat, not the block but it was good. ARP bolts to 70lbs, Advance Auto head gasket set.

So what do you mean 'upper' Vs 'lower' manifolds. I have a turbo with only one intake manifold.

I'm sure when you torqued your head bolts you followed the directions and proper order/procedure right?

Yeah I followed TSRP order.

Well, there are 2 separate intake manifolds, the top one is separate from the lower and has a gasket between.
