The TPS is mounted on the throttle valve body and sends a varying voltage signal to the ECU based on throttle valve position. The ECU can then adjust fuel delivery based on acceleration, deceleration, full throttle (WOT) or idle. The TPS inputs the ECU through terminal VTA.








the throtle body off a 7mge wont work on a 7mgte im shure it will bolt up but the routing is totally different as in the picture so your best bet is find one for a 7mge

the autos on the gte might be a little stronger but i cant confirm that, the w58 is not by any means weak, it can hold up to 400hp, toyota doesnt make weak trannies, and its r154, not r156, that can hold loads of hp, front half of the driveshafts are all different on all models

yes i agree the trannys are both built powerful but i would much rathyer have the r154 because of the internals they built the r154 for the turbo and it it stronger then the w58 so i would rather go with the r154

unless you plan on going turbo i wouldnt worry about getting a r154. a w58 will be cheaper and is just as much fun to drive

i have a turbo im wanting to swap to manual. and i was wanting to know if they were the same but i did the reasearch and im showing everyone the differences in the trannies
