Default Why is this smoke coming from the turbo?

Just got the CT26 rebuild for my friends Supra, installed the stock oil pressure/return line with new gaskets, because the kid previously had SS lines for a T4 that blew up.

He didnt have the stock coolant lines for the stock turbo anymore so we did bother to get them because plenty of people have said that it does not matter and you do not have to run the coolant lines. For some reason there is smoke coming from the coolant port in the turbo, and when you rev the engine up, blackish smoke seems to come out the port, does this mean something horrible, or does the port just need to be simply blocked off.

The car was just started up with the turbo one time so far so i am hoping it was some smoke that just has to burn off from whatever was left sitting inside the coolant passage of the turbo, but i have no idea now

Bob.....coolant passages are there for a reason.....just go to the zone and buy a couple feet of coolant hoses and a couple of cheap clamps and putt them on.....not much to it.....

.....if you want that expensive rebuilt turbo to last...lol.....

i wish it was that easy, i actaully have plenty of coolant line & clamps to use

i just have no idea how the stock lines connect to the turbo because my friend doesnt have the flanges that bolt to the CT26 i've been searching around the boards for some stuff so i can get the lines back together, havent found anything yet
