Just got the CT26 rebuild for my friends Supra, installed the stock oil pressure/return line with new gaskets, because the kid previously had SS lines for a T4 that blew up.
He didnt have the stock coolant lines for the stock turbo anymore so we did bother to get them because plenty of people have said that it does not matter and you do not have to run the coolant lines. For some reason there is smoke coming from the coolant port in the turbo, and when you rev the engine up, blackish smoke seems to come out the port, does this mean something horrible, or does the port just need to be simply blocked off. The car was just started up with the turbo one time so far so i am hoping it was some smoke that just has to burn off from whatever was left sitting inside the coolant passage of the turbo, but i have no idea now ![]() Bob |
