http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...carpicture.jpg
coming from the bottom of the accordian hose. So i am guessing then, that this vacuum line is not routed properly? or is it? If not what plugs into the metal line that comes out of the bottom of the charcoal canister |
There should be a vac diagram under the stock hood.
|
not shown on that vacuum diagram, i have not seen it on any diagrams ;)
|
not sure what connects to the charcoal canister but that vacuum line coming from the from the accordian hose goes to a metal line in front of the power steering pump.
|
do you have a picture? just went out there too look and im not see'n a metal line for the vacuum hose to connect to arround the pwr steering pump.
|
I don't think it's actually on the p-stump.
I think it's a bit lower and in that immediate area. But I drive an n/a so I could be mistaken. |
ya i cannot seem to find it
|
i removed the accordian hose and was able to see that it connects to a valve assy thing on the bottom left pulley thing.
which is broken on the steering pump and on the extra one, way to go toyota make a 175 dollar part outa plastic YEAH! ;) anyways can anyone shine some light on where that metal pipe off the bottom of the charcoal canister is saposed to connect to? |
Quote:
The pipe on the charcoal canister should just vent into the air but it connects to a small hole in the frame. That is how it was on both of my 87 Turbos and also the peice that is broken is on the Powersteering pump is a valve that will go bad after some time. Is your powersteering hard or does your ps pump make noise? |
actually latly its been squeeking or vibrating when i turn the wheel while car is slow moving or stationary
All this after i had someone do my timing..... Oh ok, thanks for info on charcoal canister ;) |
