power steering pump blowing fluid
OK Guys,
I will be running an 87 NA supra on a road race course for 8 hours, 2 days in a row. Has anyone had any problems with the powersteering fluid getting foamy and burping out - thereby oiling down the tires as well as the racetrack. This is a common problem for other cars - and we typicallty deal with iotv by revalving and rebuilding the pump to give lower amounts of boost at higher RPM - but with this high reving motor i can see potential for a bad problem with this issue. Since I am limitted to 500 bucks - the easiest solution may be to remove the powersteering pump - and run it with no powersteerring - which is typically not a problem on a road course. Anyone have any experience with this? Carl Johansson |

power steering
i've been running my 87 supra turbo 5 speed for a while now without power steering. your car should still turn okay when it's moving but it'll take a little more effort. but if your car is sitting still it'll be harder to turn.
