Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, although I'm not new to my MKIII.
I have a 87' Pearl White, 5 Speed 7MGTE. I have next to no mods done, and I'm looking to get some basic things done, but nothing too extreme. I have a simple Man. Boost Controller, and a TurboXS BOV. I'd like to get some more boost running through ( I know I need to get a FDC to get rid of that ANNOYING ORANGE LIGHT). Would you reccomend some bigger injectors, or a FPR, or both? I should also look into some sort of exhaust upgrades, and prolly a downpipe. Just some good tips or good brands to look into for the lowest price would be ALOT of help. I could also use some new tires, so any suggestions would also be a ton of help. Thanks Again! |

If u want more boost simply get rid of that mechanical boost controller and get an electronic one like the apexi avcr.. or just use the good ol' washers on the wastegate trick. Also u wanna make the motor breathe better so aftermarket air filter and cold air intake is a good idea, as well as full turbo back exhaust (or 3" dumpipe and high flow cat as these are often the most restrictive parts of the exhaust). U can get upto about 12 pounds of boost until the fuel cut kicks in, u wanna run more than that on the stock turbo/head gasket?
As for tyres get sum nice wide thin ones.. make sure they're black :P |
