Help!!! Cannot start Supra
I hope somebody can help.
I recently purchased a 1991 Supra Turbo. I drove it and it was great. I parked it up, locked it, set the alarm and left it for a week as I was away on business. I have come back and unset the clifford alarm with the fob, unlocked the door and put the key in the ignition. When I turn the key I am not getting any lights on the dash as if it is immobilised. The battery is fine and the lheadlights and interior lights work fine. I spoke to clifford who siad that the immobiliser is deactivated by the alarm fob so when I de-arm the alarm it should start. So it doesnt look as if it is that. Is there a factory immobiliser that could be causing the problem or maybe a fuse? I have found some fuses in the drivers footwell and the engine bay but they all appear to be OK. Any suggestions of what I can look for or what it might be would be greatly apreciated. Many thanks |

is it auto?
try disarming the alarm again then try to start it, maybe you were fiddling with things before starting it and it reimmobilised? if it is auto, try moving the shifter from park to L back to park or N and try starting it again

When You locked it to go away, did you also lock the car with the key? If so, the factory unit is probably still engaged. But then it would have went off or something. Anyway, just try unlocking the car with the key and then try to start it.

you know what. Even though the headlights and lights in the car works fine. Still can mean the battery is drain. It happened to my SC400 and a jump start got it up fast. But it was a SC400 could be the same.
Still wouldn't hurt to jump start it.
