i was driving and noticed a weird sound when i was turning. it only really happened when i was slower or stopped completely. and sometimes it only happened when i was slowing down and in the brakes. its kind of like a humming sound. anybody know what it could be?

sounds like a shot bearing.. prolly somewhere in the rear, i know my dads work van had a shot bearing, and was makin a heavy hummin sound, his was prolly louder cuz he drove on it for a while before fixing it.
but if somone could be a lil more specific, im pretty sure its a bearing but not where..

Where does it sound like it is coming from?

the front and the power steering gets hard and its hard to turn the wheel. its really weird.

check your power steering fluid level and make sure theres no leaks, if all of that it good you could have a power steering pump issue

thats what i was thinking and i checked it the level was good. and i know i dont have any leaking. so i guess its just a bad pump.

you can always try bleeding it too
i did that to my friend's grand prix
it was making that humming , and steering being stiff
even tho, it was full in the reservoir

so i bleeded it while adding more fluid and it was fine after
