oil pressure switch

hey is there any way to check the oil pressure switch or gauge(i already looked through tsrm but i may have overlooked it) im not sure if its my gauge or the switch it will read pressure with the key turned some times but it starts to fall off and it acts like the gauge is sticking because i can tap it and its goes the rest of the down thanks for any help

I think if you use a multimeter you can test the switch. Whether in voltage or resistance, I'm not sure. But there should be something on that in the TSRM. They have to. As far as the gauge, I don't know, but it sounds like the gauge is faulty.

unplug it and jump the lead to ground while someone inside looks at the gauge, it should go to max, then when you unhook it, it should go back to 0 iirc
