Headlights going bonkers!
Well, there's always something wrong with my Supra, but this little affliction is baffling me.
Last night I was driving at dusk with my lights on, then I came home and parked my car. Like usual, I turn my lights off. I go inside and watch a movie, then I come back out to run and errand. To my surprise, my headlights had been on the whole time! I go into my car, and sure enough the switch for the lights is in the off position, yet, they are actually turned on? I mess with it a bit, and figure out that when I'm driving, I have to put my lights in the off position to use them. When I park and turn off my car, I have to then put them in the on position to turn them off, BUT, when I get out of my car and shut the door, they turn on again! So then I have to bring them back to the off position, then back to the on position to turn them off for sure. Also, the actual headlights don't retract back down into the car anymore throughout all of this. What on earth could be going on?? I'm going to go check fuses right now, to possibly solve the lights not retracting...

maybe ground issues? I would just start checking the basic wiring and make sure nothing is visibly damaged

I'm an idiot! Once your mentioned grounds, I realized that I have a gaping hole full of wires where my stereo deck used to be. It was stolen last month when some punks threw a brick through my back window (that's another story...) Anyway, I guess the metal end of the radio antennae wire was loose touching a metal part of the frame. Somehow that only affected my lights, but now they work fine : D This can be closed I guess...
