just got my baby :)
so I purchased this 1987 Supra and well as my name says it's under construction and I can't wait for the results but I'm patient so I"ll take my time working on her, Don't we all start off from somewhere? sorry about the quality I took it with my camera phone, So far the plans are getting the 89/91 front end/ back end and the backlights of the 89/91 I believe those are the years I'm new to the Supra Community

I think the car looks great for the year. I need to do a little body work on mine and it's a 91.

Yeah the car is in great conditions engine wise it already has the Metal gasket so I got that off my back lol and well the interior I need to work on a little it's not too bad just the carpet but the seats and the top of the car are in great conditions for some reason the person who had it before me must of not been a clean person cause it looks like oil stains on the carpet but then again it's an 87, she deserves to be worked on, besides by the end of the project I'm going to be very pleased with the results and it's all going to be worth it, when people ask me what kind of car is it cause believe it or not it's only a few guys here in Fresno California who own Supras so when people see they wonder what kind of car is. I never thought I'd get a supra as I used to own nothing but Hondas but when I test drove it and I felt the Turbo kick in I was impressed with the Mk3 and now I'm proud to be a Supra owner......
Goodbye Honda

Good to hear my friend, I'm on the east coast and A LOT of people besids the older guys who know what a MKIII Supra is, ask what kind of car is that.
Had one guy get out of a MR2 and ask, "Hey is that a first gen MR2?" lol. I said no its a Supra, and he was astonished and ran back to his friends. |

I agree, keep it pre 89. Everyone's got the post 89 look now a days. Keeping the pre 89 front end and swap the post 89 rear end is the most I'd ever do. Nice choice getting an MKIII.
