Default What is the stock car's recommended fuel?

I just picked up a 1990 n/a automatic, but it has no information with it. Does it have enough compression to make use of premium gas? Or should I just stick with regular?

Yeah but what I want to know is what the recommended fuel is for the n/a. It's not accelerating as well as I think it should (I have a prelude that's 200hp and a bit lighter, so I'd think it'd be similar). The car's body is in great shape, the engine seems pretty good except that some coolant had leaked. I talked to the guys who worked on it, they said they'd filled it up with regular.

I want to know if the engine is retarding the timing and that's why there's so little power, or if this is indictive of something else?

dont think your fuel is causing the computer to retard the time, check for codes...

Knock sensor will do it, or if ur TPS is not calibrated....

Or air leaks, vacuum leaks... check it all lol
