Well yay for me, i put the 89 on the internet for 1200 and got 1000 for it...im happy, and the guy is going to fix it and make it run like she should....I am happy for the car, better home that i can afford to give it.:(

1997 Starlet Turbo Idle low & rough running
 

Hi, I've just bought a Toyota Turbo Starlet. Had the car thoroughly checked out before purchase and it was good. Just drove it home and it has just started idling inconsistently and jumpy. When accelerating from stopped it makes a put-put noises up to 1500 rpms and really stalled acceleration even when you put your foot down, then it regulates at about 2000rpms. Running really rough and feels like its going to die - any ideas? I don't have a fortune to spend fixing it, so rather worried!
