Random Fludder during Idle

Problem: When Idling it gives a fludder randomly but returns to normal. When giving it gas it seems to be non existant.

My Guess: It would probably be the intake manifold or along the lines of that.

Any ideas?

When my car had a random sputter at idle it would seem like it wanted to shut off but would recover. The rpm would drop 200 - 300 or so. Turns out the connector on the TPS was half on scince my connector lock is broken, so check that and the other connections like AFM and ISC.

Break it down dummy style although I love the supra like its a part of me some parts I have no clue about. Sorry if this inconvenience's you. I just want to learn more about the car so I can restore it.

TPS= Throttle Position Sensor
AFM= Air Flow Meter (aka Mass Air Flow Sensor)
ISC= Idle Speed Control

On the top of your engine, at the throttle body (where the cable from the driver's side of the car links to the engine), there is a sensor with a plug coming out of it. The plug is typically black, and has 4 wires going into it. That's your TPS and plug. Make sure it is connected well.

At the top, front of your intake manifold near the crankcase oil cap is another sensor. I can't really describe it very well, but it has a 6 wire plug coming out of it. That's your ISC and plug. Makes sure that is connected well.

Off of the engine at the passenger side of the car is your intake piping. At the end farthest from the engine, right before your air filter, there's a bulky box-looking thing that the air goes through in the piping. That's your AFM. Make sure the plug on that are also connected well.

Just thought I would simplify what was afore stated for you, although I don't believe I can contribute any additional advice.
