that was compatable with most 3" intakes would you buy it?
Basically i tried contacting them to see if they would construct some nice pipes to attach a air filter on, basically its the only part of the intake they dont offer anything for. I didnt get anysort of response but perhaps if we get enough people here to say they would be intrested and had someone with more pull like a forum admin to convince them maybe they would ![]() Personally i don't like the idea of try'n to put together something together that would look ugly next to the nice shiny cooleeze IC pipes heh

ive looked alot, there is one i have seen.... 2K Racing Cold Air Intake System with 3" Piping & Weapon R ® Air Filter Fits on all Supra (86.5-92) $199.00
but at the price and little info on the product and poor pictures lol not wanting to go that route.... It seems to place the filter behind ur fog light.... but i like myfog lights lol besides not a big fan of weapon R, aparntly they have metal in the filter that tends to heat up very easily.... kinda defeats the hole purpose of a CIA

Well for 200 bucks. Thats not bad.
Matter of fact it may the ultimate. No one I know of makes these things. k and n makes an fipk. And someone else makes filters to go on right there where the stock filter is applied. Other than that. Everyone makes there own basically. It looks like a nice rig even though it's on e bay. That is the closest thing I have seen to a real cai that wasn't jimmy rigged. |

i have been trying to find picutres of people who have the K&N installed.... didnt seem like it did much other than stick a filter on where the air box used to be
Not saying that one for 200 is bad, just cant find any info on it. dont like weapon r filters and no decent pictures to justify my 200$$

There's more than one and the most common, you have already seen.
There's another one that is the entire unit in what seemed to be one piece. Regardless. It didn't suck enough cold air. The people I knew that had them. loved them. Some of them raved on them. Stick with the stocker set up and then build that airbox. If you remove the plastic covers and get your face in that great void of space. You'll see that there is plenty of room to be utilized. |
