Default making an exhaust

I was wondering if i could make my own exhaust for my supra. It doesn't seem hard because there aren't many bends in the exhaust and I'm going to get rid of the cats and muffler. I'm going to get a 3" downpipe off line that gets rid of the two cats. so far my mods are shimming the turbo to make about 11psi of boost and i made my own intake. I'm looking for mods that will make the turbo spool up quicker. the pipping I'm going to use will be 3". I was wondering if this is a stupid idea to make my own exhaust because I dont want to spend about 1000 dollars on an aftermarket

No reason you can't do this so long as you or a buddy of yours can weld and you have all the tools.

I would try to use stainless if you can.

Buy individual mandrel bends. Most people buy U bends because you can get basically any angle with them. If you use a pipe bender it crushes the exhaust smaller around the curve but with mandrel bends they stay the same diameter throughout the curve
