Gas Gauge
 

One day i was driving and my gas gauge needle went from bout 1/4 tank all the way up to higher than full. when it first happened bout 2 years ago it would come down every once in awhile if i drove it for 30min+ but it hasn't came down in about a year in a half. its really no big deal since the E light still works (thank God). i took the sensor outta the gas tank cleaned it all up and thoughly checked it. but it doesnt make sense that the gas light works and the needle doesnt. any help is appreciated
